Abzorb® cushioning is New Balance’s proprietary basic cushioning compound. This foam-based polymer works by dispersing the forces out from the point of impact and reducing the shock that is transferred through the shoe and up into the leg and body (this type of shock is sometimes responsible for heel, ankle, and even back pain). Most New Balance shoes incorporate some form of this highly effective material.

TriCity New Balance 
I ran in my new pair last night and I stayed nice and cool through the terrible heat. These are thin, but perfect for all weather conditions. They almost feel like a second skin or like I’m not wearing anything at all, except you can feel the stiffness of the reflective strip. It doesn’t irritate, but you can feel the stiffness. It did however get less stiff the more I ran. I got the grey pair and now that I’ve tried them out, I plan on getting the black pair.
